Compañeros
en Ministerio/Partners in Ministry
is an evangelical, gift-based, cross-cultural mission organization
featuring mission encounters. Mission encounters help you
to encounter God, people from other cultures, and those in
your own group.
Compañeros networks with local church leaders, educational
officials, and civic leaders in meeting identified needs,
that are coordinated with the gifts, talents, and interest
of encounter participants.
Mission
encounters are based in Tijuana, Mexico, and Navajoland (New
Mexico & Arizona), where people work together to use their
gifts to lift up Jesus Christ.
Companeros
en Ministerio/Partners in Ministry began approximately
15 years ago when the Bella Vista congregation of
Los Angeles, California and the Stone congregation
of Buena Vista, Virginia felt a desire to fulfill
the Biblical call to be "One in Christ Jesus."
The two congregations, Bella Vista which was primarily
Hispanic, and Buena Vista, which was primarily Euro-American,
had little in common from the world's perspective.
However, as they began to worship together, work together
on projects to benefit people of the Mexican culture,
and share their lives with one another, they found
common devotion to Christ, and the blessing of unity!
Companeros
en Ministerio/Partners in Ministry is affiliated with
the Church of the Brethren, endorsed by the Churches
of God General Conference and Evangelical Foursquare
Gospel Church of Mexico; is a partnering agency with
Church World Service, Trees for Life, and the Brethren
Church. Individual congregations from the Missionary
Church, United Methodist Church and Church of God
in Christ are active participants.

Savior and Lord, which leads to God's gift of salvation

The spiritual fellowship with God and individual spiritual
growth through active involvement in the church of
Jesus Christ and a personal practicing of the spiritual
disciplines.
Commission
for ministry and mission-
The encouragement to be commissioned believers in
Jesus Christ and equipping individuals to be involved
in service and witnessing for Jesus the Christ.
Cross
Cultural-The
acceptance of all whom God loves and redeems in Jesus
Christ's name. The acceptance and affirming of individuals,
particularly in the Church of Jesus Christ from various
cultural backgrounds.
Complimentary
Partnership in gospel ministry-
A partnering with gospel believing followers of Jesus
the Christ that compliment one's individual faith
expression without compromising one's convictions
or the gospel message.
